The R&D department at Organic Motion has been busy. The PrimeSense camera used in Microsoft's Kinect is a very interesting piece of kit. We asked ourselves how we may be able to improve the tracking of the camera with Organic Motion software. Here is a short video of some of the early work.

Here is a link to the keynote I gave at BlurCon.
The basic premise is that Human Computer Interfaces (HCI) will drive the next tech revolution. Not only will it be the next catalyst, it will be the greatest accelerator we have seen to date. That of course is just my opinion. I do hope however that at the least this presentation stimulates some new thinking about HCI.

Dare Mighty Things!

Dare mighty things and the universe will conspire to support you.

I love this simple idea. I can't find a reference online so I think it is a blend created in my head between sentiments voiced by Paulo Coelho and Theodore Roosevelt. I think there is a beautiful motivational truth contained. As entrepreneurs we face so many naysayers who want to kill great ideas. We often forget that this is just a small barrier we need to push past. In reality the world loves a great story. In my opinion all change ever created is driven by an individual with a mighty idea which was carried aloft by the support of a group.

What is an entrepreneur by force?

The words sound a bit awkward, right? It comes across more negative than the more popular "entrepreneur by choice". It makes me feel that I'm going to get that call. A carefully worded discussion with my PR guy suggesting a few alternatives.

But no. I already paid for the domain name. It is here to stay. I can't be the only one who feels they can't in good conscience be anything but an entrepreneur. A person who, only by creating their own framework manages to be more effective than they could be otherwise.

So the mission of this blog? Well, I don't want to let the cat out of the bag quite yet. But I do hope to see "Entrepreneur by Force" become a positive mantra. I can't believe there are only 6 unique references to the term on Google.
